Earlier this week I picked up five bottles of that Charles Shaw $2.99 ($1.99 if you're in California) wine at Trader Joe's. I finally opened one of the Merlots to go with a dinner of noodles in peanut, sesame sauce with tofu fried in peanut oil and tossed with lime and cilantro. The dinner was good and the wine wasn't bad -- I recommend drinking the entire bottle and rapidly.
After I was good and drunk and after a rousing discussion with T. about web standards, the new Safari browser and his newfound and total devotion to all things Apple (the geekiest discussion he and I have had in a very long time) we headed downtown with our pockets full of quarters to Ground Kontrol.
Ground Kontrol is this little arcade stocked with vintage games: Frogger, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Asteroids, Space Invaders, Ms. Pac-Man, Centipede, Dig-Dug and many, many more. They also sell Atari 2600 and games.
Yesterday was an intense day but it ended well.

Reddi-wipWow. I discovered today a whole new capacity for completely
losing my shit, as they say. It concluded with whipped cream on the keyboard. This was actually a move in a positive direction. I think I’ve outdone myself.

Shameful SecretI sometimes have great ideas. I nearly always have the best intentions. But, I am often quite poor at follow-through. It's my worst characteristic as a friend.
