Mt. Hood Just added a photo to the entry I wrote about our hike up to Observation Peak earlier this year. I wish my digital camera could do the view justice. It's just not made for this kind of photography. Unfortunately, I'm not getting that photo to show up in the old entry. Here it is until I figure it out:  Beautiful, no? Spent the weekend backpacking along the Salmon River in Zig Zag, Oregon, which is in the foothills of Mt. Hood. I'm tired and I ache but it was a good time. We got some snow Sunday morning which was breathtaking. We got rain hiking out. That was nasty. Better to rain on the way out than on the way in, though. We took actual film photographs of our trip. Someday they'll get developed.
