Ar-teest

For Halloween I'm going to go as an internationally renowned artist, revered and loved by men and women of all ages and nationalities the world over and praised in such important publications as The New Yorker, Harper's and Spank not to mention recently invited to paint an interactive mural (depicting the agony of war and the innocence of children) in the reception area of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, a town which has embraced me with the passion, warmth and generosity that they would a saint.

That should scare the kids.

Crow

I found this while searching for images of attacking crows.

Isn't it wonderful? I love that tattoo.

Return of Single Girl

I'm SINGLE GIRL! again this weekend. I've celebrated by seeing Ghost World twice which was fantastic. I went to a matinee on Friday where Steve and I snickered endlessly through the whole thing. Then, I went again on Saturday with Laurie and Stephanie and Nick. They didn't like it! Gah!

Friday night, I went with a bunch of people to hear the 'Flat Mountain Girls' at the Snake and Weasel in Ladd's Addition, a neighborhood between Hawthorne and SE Clinton. They consisted of a guitar, violin, banjo and an upright bassist who was blind. They sang hill gospels and other such songs, one of which featured some staccatto tap-dancing. It was awesome and the venue was sublime. I can't wait to go back.

Today, I'm cleaning and doing homework. I think I'll walk down to the video store and rent something obscure and foreign just because I can. Suggestions?
