What a Fucking Day... I'm trying real hard to be zen about my new make-ends-meet, part-time job but clearly I'm going to have to try harder. I'm not ready to write about any of it yet. Be patient but know that I may never get around to it. Now I need to go take a shower and go to the store. We're having a BBQ tonight and I need to be slightly more chipper than I am right now. 4.26.2001
Inspiration I'd love to stay and chat but I got to run. In the meantime, check out my new design for the front page (replaces the saggy, business-man's bum that was "Love, American Style") and tell me what you think. I don't know whether the design is "good" or not but it proves to me that in order to get my creative juices flowing I need to get away from the computer and occupy my brain and body in other ways. Sitting in front of a computer day in and day out is no way to live a life. 4.25.2001
Spring A tulip in the front garden.  + + + Spent 2.5 glorious hours outside today drawing. We've been working on "perspective" in my drawing class and so we did that good old assignment where you sit in a hallway and draw the length of it -- doors, pillars, lines converging in some far distance. Luckily, the entrances to the classrooms are outside so we sat out in the covered walkway. It's so beautiful out today. My drawing turned out really great. Some people were being sissy and using rulers. Not me, man, it's all freehand. 4.23.2001
