[ 12.7.99 ] When I was starting this journal afresh here in Orygun, I solicited your ideas for what to name it. I think it was Michael of My Life who suggested I call this journal "An Intimate Account of Northwestern Microbreweries" which would suggest perhaps I talked about beer a bit much? It's true, I yearned and pined and drooled for a pint of good, sweet, Northwest beer. Of course, now that I'm here I'm satiated and able to contribute to society in a normal fashion once again. Mmmmm...

Oregon Beer

[ 6.27.99 ] I have five pairs of Doc Marten's. They are all at least six years old as I bought them when I lived in England. I can't bear to buy them now (even though a pair of flaming Mary Jane Doc's have caught my eye) because they're so expensive. My first pair of Doc's cost $20. My most expensive pair, plaid canvas, cost $45. My most beloved pair, blue suede, only $40. But, I digress. Looking through the Sunday paper I spied an article on a quirky little work boot that is becoming popular.
