As you may have already guessed, this is my book library referencing all the books that I've written about (and a few extra that hold a place in my heart) since I started writing this journal. The links all go to Powell's Online Bookstore of which I am an affiliate. I get a few pennies if you buy something from them using one of my links.

Powell's is a local bookseller here in Portland, Oregon, and they are probably one of the best bookstores in all the world for their vast selection of new and used books. The main store is located on West Burnside but they now have few regular stores and some specialty stores scattered around Portland. So, that's my first reason for signing up with them -- I'm a journaller living in Portland and here's an independant bookseller selling out of Portland.

In each of my listings, you'll see comments, a link to the relevant journal entry and two other links: 'book' and 'all'. 'Book' refers specifically to that book. What you may find when you follow a link is that there are several listings. Those listings refer to the softcover or hardback that is still in print. If Powell's has a used copy then it will list it also with its store location. If you're not in the area, then store location will mean diddly to you and you can ignore it. If Powell's has several copies of the book which are used it will list each location for those copies. I love the option of buying a used book. And, that's my second reason for linking up with them.

'All' refers to whatever else they might have on that book. By following that link (which I only include if it has stuff that might be interesting to you) you'll find not just the book but perhaps the audio version, a rare edition, a large-print version, an electronic version, a signed copy or some sort of collection or anthology. In general, 'all' is a keyword search and 'book' is an ISBN search.

Each book link opens up into the same new window.

If you ever have any trouble with them or if you have further questions, drop me a line.

You've seen the list... have anything you can recommend?
