I'm sitting here wearing pale, blue and white striped, pajama bottoms; wicking ski socks; a Polar-Tec, reversible beanie; a stunning, "Handcrafted by Marcia" M&M-themed, fuzzy scarf; and a maroon shirt which reads "Sunnydale High School." Let me tell you, I am a vision.
We opened up all of our gifts today. We're going up to my parents' house so we needed to open things early. T. is in playing with his new Sony Playstation and we've listened to my Women of Jazz CD, Charlie Brown Christmas and Pink Floyd's The Wall. We have eaten buttermilk pankakes from scratch and piping hot sausages smothered in mustard.
T. got me some great gifts including a digital camera. It looks kind of funky but I'm eager to see how the pictures turn out. I was saving up for it but now I guess I'll have to spend that money on something else.
One of the coolest things I got was this collection of spoken poetry. Roethke has two poems on it and I think there's around 120 poems total. It is, of course, from Rhino Records. Poetry wonderful to read and study but better to hear.
So, I'm gonna go listen to that for awhile. Happy Christmas! Merry Day! A Cheerful Non-denominational Howdy to all of you.
