OF LA JOURNALIST FRANÇAIS
8.12.99 I was up rather late last night working on yet another Flash project. I say "yet another" because I've started several and never been able to finish them. The ideas have been pretty good but at certain points I just have gotten stuck. This project is for my class, though. I have to finish it and if I get stuck I can force my professor to help me. I think it'll be cool, though. I can't wait to show it to you.
I don't look at the stats info for my site that often. I have no idea how many "hits" I've gotten or how often. I don't trust those kinds of stats anyway. I did find some really funny stuff in my referrer file though. Here's some things people have put into search engines to find their way into my site: lesbianism (who knew?) What shocks me is how far down on the list I am on some of these searches and yet people still click. I've also gotten several hits from a the Denver Broncos area of the online version of the Denver post. That much just be some wild hair since I looked at the page and could see no mention of me or any reason for a mention. The most interesting thing in my referrer file had to be a french journal writer who mentions me. He is writing about some of the journals he reads and about journaling in general. Here's what he has to say about me: L'Américaine type. Faites imprimer ses archives et amenez-moi ça à la plage. which, roughly translated by Babel Fish says: American the type. If the thing may be, the Amanda of " Rainy Day Stories ", subscribed there. Naive and strong, married and independent, for it, for example, the golf is not a sport but a social activity and practises it only for this reason. It makes me laugh, true the incrédule, it is it. Make print its files and bring to me that to the range. in which I retranslate with my rough knowledge of French and better knowledge of how to construct a sentence: If there is such a thing as an American type, it's Amanda of "Rainy Day Stories." I've subscribed there. She's naive yet strong, married yet independent. She enjoys golf not as sport but as a social activity. She makes me laugh, truly incredible, she is. I may print her archives and take them with me to the range. Those wacky French. Read the rest of the entry for more French thoughts on journallers. æ |
