OF BALLOON ANIMALS
5.3.99 What a day. A whole lot of nothing sure can make a girl tired. I just took a little nap. Well, actually, T. and I just curled up around each other like kittens and lay in the setting sun that poured in our bedroom window. It's amazing how renewing that can be. He's like vitamins to me. If I ever feel run down or sad or lost I can just soak up a little of him and I feel like a new person. We went out to dinner tonight to Old Chicago Pizza. We probably shouldn't have as we need the money. We're a little short on rent but should be getting some cash flow this week. I'm so sick of fretting about money. It's so tedious. Anyway, we went out because the fridge is nearly bare and neither one of us wanted to cook. T. is here all day working on freelance so he needed to get out and I needed to just veg. The restaurant is somewhat of a family-type place though it boasted 110 beers on tap. I had a Killian's Red and a giant calzone. T. had a Red Hook E.S.B. and some pasta. It was nice and relaxing and easy. Apparently, on Monday's kids eat free and there was this crazy guy running around making balloon animals. T. and I got two purble, balloon love-birds perched in a yellow, balloon heart. Pretty cheasy but also amusing. We had a great waiter, too. He was attentive and quick and very personable. Okay, he was cute, too. I'd love to set up one of my friends with him. But, that's just evil so I'll try to resist.
A question for you long-time readers: shall I continue the featured links section that I had in L.A. Stories or just skip it? There doesn't seem to be as much good link fodder up here but if any of you liked it then let me know one way or the other. Liked it. Hated it. Ambivalent. æ |
