    I had strange dreams last night about heirarchical structures and obscure database commands. That's never good. However, I awoke bright and early and set about doing work for the only freelance gig I've got right now.

    You would think that in a city this size that everything you could possibly want is just a stone's throw away. Well, it's not. Every venture requires extreme planning and at least an hour or two to account for traffic. I just got back hopping from grocery store to grocery store looking for spinach dip and the right kind of bread to go with it.

    I tried two Von's stores, a Ralph's and even Whole Foods. You would think that among the tofu-veggie concoctions and the hummus organic spreads that a chi-chi place like Whole Foods would have a little spinach dip. No can do.

    I've got a webgrrls meeting to go to tonight. It's a meeting to discuss why webgrrls sucks so much. Frankly, I had been less than impressed with the organization of webgrrls but when there's nothing else what are you going to do? It appears that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Well, I volunteered to bring some munchies and I'm determined to bring spinach dip in a bread bowl if it kills me.

    Well, I finally found some spinach dip at Gelson's Market, another chi-chi grocery store. It was so overpriced. The bread was the twice the cost of what I had seen at Von's and I think I got the wrong kind. Oh well. People better damn well love it.

    Midnight, to be exact.

    I'm waiting for a call from one of the webgrrls. She's got me on a two-day job to set up Macs with software. I'm not sure of the particulars but I'll get paid and it will get me out of the house for a few days.

    The webgrrls meeting was a lot of fun and I met some really cool people. It's so hard to meet people when you're not in school, let alone people with similar interests.

    This is short but I'm falling asleep so it's time to sign-off. By the way, I think that Gelson's over-priced spinach dip was somewhat substandard. Go figure.
