OF BLECH
9.11.98 Ack! Blargh! Trivial drivel! I'm talking about my last entry, OF GOING GOLFING. Let me tell you, it was uninspired. My sincere apologies. I must stop writing entries throughout the day. I simply lose my train of thought. I should also stop reading so many other journalers as it somehow saps my energy for creating things of my own. Plus, many of them do just talk about their everyday lives. Many, however, are very talented at making their days sound interesting. I don't think I can make my everyday life nearly as read-worthy. If I had had my wits about me I would have remembered to put the whole point of the last entry in there. The point was not really that I golfed (whoop-dee-doo) but that Scholl's Canyon golf course was the site of an old landfill. And that, in fact, one of the views near the 15th hole is of an area where either the garbage has been cleared or buried and there's just a cluster of 50 odd refrigerator's in the center of this sandy expanse. That is the stuff I'm supposed to be writing about. I really want to write about Los Angeles and the things that I experience that are unique to this city. I will share information about myself and what I'm up to but strike me down if I ever write as unfocused as I did in the last entry. (Get that baseball bat ready.) Luckily, my friend Terri Irving has been more inspired as of late and is saving me from blathering on and on today (too late). Please do read her wonderful essay on moving to L.A. Go on, GO! æ |
